The Royal Berkshire Shooting School
When we moved to the USA we chose Barrington Illinois because it truly reminds us of the English countryside. Although a suburb of Chicago, Barrington has rolling acres of green fields, horses and quiet country lanes. Lots of space for walking your dog and listening to the countryside. It lacks the cows and sheep of course, they seem to be up north a little in Wisconsin
As a English born and bred gal, I often get asked what my family does back home in the UK. Many English folk like to engage in fox hunting and bird shooting. One place you can learn to shoot is The Royal Berkshire Shotting School which is close to where my family lives. Riding in the English countryside is another pass time and fox hunting which I do not agree with is still practiced.
Of course walking the dog is a much cheaper passtime and one thing our Irish Setter loved to do. Just say walkies and he was up and ready. He came with us to the US and loved racing in his new larger than ever before yard.
